    Default cabin doors

Do the doors provide security or just privacy and to keep the weather out. I would use very different timber for both jobs.

    Hi Whitewood
Primarily the doors need to be able to lock up to supply some sort of security for items in the cabin. Secondary requirement is to be able to handle what i would consider a minimal ammount of wheather. Reason being there is a bimi roof structure above the doors outside the cabin.

The reason for my question was whether the boat was moored and the doors kept thieves out or whether it was housed at home and was largely for privacy. I suppose even if at home it is necessary to secure it from possible theft. If security was not the issue then Paulownia would be a good option as it is easy to work with, good in a salt water environment and is light weight. I felt it was worth considering.
