A question due to this humidity difference.

As my move from Canberra up to northern NSW is taking place I have the timber in the photos I'm considering what to do with.

I feel that a bunch of the Oregon that I bought down here for the bench build would change with the increased humidity along with the Ironbark and other panels that it would take considerable time to acclimatise and work to make them usable on-top of the effort and cost for me to move them myself. Vs selling it to someone locally to use

I am moving to a place with access to more timber but that will come at a cost. When removing cost from the equation is it best to keep it local for use or I'm really over thinking it and taking the timber north is completely fine and just stack it and wait?

I'll consider my options, I may list it on the market place here

    Cheers
    Nathan

Haha. I've painted the ends, I can't bring myself to throw it out or even sell it I have plans for it. I'll take it up to a storage locker. I'm just sorting and stacking it for the truck trip up

It will self recondition to the EMC required. Much the same as timber that is kiln dried needs to recondition once it has left the kiln.

A 12 month period sufficient for this you think? I'll try stack it in the storage container it's going to live in up there to let is rest before I find a shed with some bedrooms attached

Then spray everything with that G15 rust prevention

Twelve months is more than enough. Six is plenty. I guess you are refering to a shipping container - these are hard on timber due to limited ventilation and there ability to heat up during hot weather.

Nah it will be in one of those storage units so should have some ventilation throughout the facility. ive gone through the selection and removed anything i wont be keeping. its still a decent size so i hope i dont ruin it. once i store it up there might repaint the ends again to make sure minimal checking can occur.

Ive attempted to sell or pass some of it on but i just cant bring myself to do it lol have timber problems.
