Looks like Yarran but without some measurements of the leaves (phyllodes) I can't say for sure. Yarran and Myall are prone to weeping resin a lot when cut as in the pic. What did the fresh cut timber smell like???

thanks for the replies , never noticed a smell when i cut it , the sap that ran out is very thick and sticky and deep red, it even bleeds a bit on a rip cut as well as a cross cut

I have a few photos of Acacia nilotica ( prickly acacia) and the bark, leaves and even the grain in the slabed peace look very familiar ?.. I hope this helps and if not you can always send me a cube of gidgee or hairy oak and i will study them with my tools
