Tree ID please
So there are a bunch of these trees in the centre of Light Square in Adelaide and every time I walk through I wonder what they are. Any ideas??

Yep, they're trees alright. Would recognise them anywhere.

looks definetly like a poplar. Just not to sure what variety it is though. I would stay clear of them during strong winds as they are not that strong in terms of strength and do rot easily. I will try and find a picture of a good one that I saw that had failed.

Poplar hey.. I thought about that but the leaves are not as triangular as the poplars that I have seen in the botanic gardens. I guess its another variety. Look forward to seeing the picture of the broken limb Wood Collector..
