Default What type of wood for new fence?

    Greetings all...

I am replacing a fence and wanted to make it look a little bit smarter than the old one.
I want a post and rail, but I'm not happy with what Bunnings and the like have to offer.

Can anyone recommend what type of wood to use?
And dimensions ?? (if someone has done this sort of fence before?)
    I'm in Hunter Valley... Maitland

    Thank you.

    Default The Fence.

    Hi BigM,
We have been to the Elmore Field Days, Vic. today, & I know you mentioned Wood, but we saw a Cement Post & Rail, that looked very smart, so much so, I got it wrong thinking it was Wood. I'm sorry I did not ask the price.
Well it is another option, even if it isn't Wood.
    Regards,
