    Default Wet Jarrah

    Hi Everyone

As you can tell I dont post very much.
Anyway I just built a new shed! Lucky me. My old one which I demolished first(for obvious reasons) was made from jarrah with asbestos sheets covering it. The "A" frames where steel. But all purlins etc where jarrah. Good size too.
Whilst I built my new shed all of this jarrah from the old shed had no real home and sat in the weather. Now my shed is built I have put the wet jarrah inbetween the rafters of my new shed which are spaced at 3mt apart. Is this i bad idea? Will I ruin my beautifil wood?

I sure hope you took the appropriate precautions with the asbestos.
Complete sheets are fine but broken ones are very dangerous

With 3m spacing/support you will need to keep an eye on it for sagging/bending and if it does then reverse the timber so the bend is facing up.

I actually had someone come in and remove the asbestos. He left me with just the frame of the shed which I took down myself.

I will keep an eye on the timber and make sure it doesnt sag and turn it over.

    Thanks guys
