    Default What's the wood

    Hi,

    Anyone have any idea what sort of wood this serving bowl is made from. It's from Fiji and although dark doesn't weigh a lot.

    A better piccy is needed.
    Fiji grow a lot Mahogany, maybe its that.

    Plantations of Mahogany were set up there ages ago when the Poms had control

    I can't get a better picture cause of the size limit. Sorry Auld Bassoon I can't make out any coconuts:eek:

    I'll stick with ozwinner's idea that its mahogany.
