White Beech Logs
I've found this very poor dead White Beech tree and have cut it into three logs, the biggest two are 7 ft long. This is the best one while the third is very poor. The big end diameter is about 28 inches with a heart wood of only about 14 inches with a very large fire scar. As far as I'm concerned, WB is a almost totally unavailable wood. I was wondering if anyone was interested? I will even have free pieces to give away. I know that this forum is not for selling but WB is a special and almost unprocurable.

I'm located between KinKin and Gympie. The tree was in an old school ground. The school was started in 1910 and so the tree, although quite old, couldn't have been older than that. There is still one living White Beech tree there that looks of similar age and a better looking tree that is probably quite a bit younger. The school closed in about 1955. There are also a couple of other interesting trees in the grounds as well.
