Default Wood photo album & engraving Mandurah WA

    Hi all,
I am looking at making two wooden photo albums each about 40cm x 40cm in jarrah about 10 mm thick.
Anyone have any suggestions, ideas, dos or donts?
I would also like to have some engraving on the front (eg name or initals- fancy font)
Is there any local timber mill who could supply the wood?Any local engravers?

    thanking you...
    Wilko

    hiya,
Preferably the front cover to be engraved, or two initials cut into the wood in the front corner.

    Hope I am making sense
    thanks

10mm Jarrah!? They are going to be real heavy.

Here's a suggestion for you Wilko

I made a silky oak photo album a couple of years ago and changed the hinge section so that it was easier for people to look through when it started to fill up. Much better than putting hinges on the front of the album.

    cheers

Vicki, if you have not had any luck on the engraving front I can assist with cnc carving/engraving, we are in balcatta though.
