Default WW1 School Display Needs Help

Hi, I run a part time volunteer WW1 education display that I take to schools. You can have a look at Flickr: Australia At War 1914-1918's Photostream. We have just added a German WW1 infantry mannequin to the display. What we need now are two or three mock stick grenades. We can find heaps of solid wood turned ones on the net but customs will not allow them to be brought into the country. We have a resin mills bomb replica already for our australian troops. We have the dimentions, we just need someone to turn them. They will be one piece and basic. Just to stick in the soldiers belt and give the kids an idea of what they were like. let us know if you can help. Thanks heaps. Shane

They would not be difficult to make, but if customs won't allow imports I would wonder if they would be legal to make/own etc. Much like replica pistols.

Why don't you try one of the Mens Sheds on the central coast. You have quite a few to choose from. Bateau Bay, Umina, The Entrance, North Gosford, Kincumber, San Remo and others.

    Look here.

You might find someone at the Men's shed who has practical experience of the grenades, from the throwing and the receiving sides.
