Clear sealer for Western Red Cedar Weatherboards
Hi Guys....am looking for any recommendations on a long lasting clear non film forming sealer for WRC Weatherboards. Have tried Organoil with the UV additive but does not last.
Have heard of a two pack product from Holland but can't remember the name.
Cheers....JohnMCheers...........John M

This question gets asked about once a month - maybe the answer should be made a sticky in the finishing forum.
Sorry but nothing clear works for more than a year or so, especially if it gets direct sunshine.
Even indirect sun will eventually destroy clear finishes.
Your alternatives are, sand back and recoat every year or so, learn to love grey, or paint it.

There is a Intergrain product that I have used inside on window sills it is a exteior grade and has been on for quite a few years now and all ok.(sorry not in the shed and can't remember exactly)
These windows get full north sun for a lot of the day and the only thing they don't do is get wet.
Cheers
