    Default 1/2" gmc router parts

G'day, i picked up a 1200W 1/2" gmc router for $25 when i was looking at the triton 2400W for 380 bucks. So is this gmc bargin going to throw round the bargin $11 64mm bits i got?
But before i start i need to get the collores and locking nut to hold the bits in the router as this is why i got it so cheap, so how much are these parts worth and where i get em from.

you are all very helpfull and thank you for your help

    Good luck.

I picked up a GMC router cheap the same way. Convinced my local M10 to order the parts for me - $20 for the set of 2 collets. Several weeks and a couple of phone calls later, GMC sent the wrong parts.

I might still be waiting, but a certain person with connections to GMC who is a member of this forum kindly offered to get the parts for me, and within a week the correct parts arrived.

So here's what I suggest. Try ordering the parts through your local hardware. Be sure you have the exact model number, because these parts are not interchangable between different GMC models. The store may tell you a story about "minimum order value"; that doesn't apply to spare parts, they can call GMC and confirm. You may have to try a couple of stores before you find one to help you.

If you have no success within a reasonable period of time, post an update here. I have a feeling the person who helped me would be happy to help you as well, but only if and when the normal process fails.
