12mm Collet
I've just received my Triton JOF001 Router, which came with 12mm and ½" collets. I don't have any 12mm bits and certainly don't ever intend to buy any, so the 12mm collet is spare. It's this style:

Free to any member who wants it.
Would a review of the JOF001 help? I'll do one if there's any interest.

Would appreciate the Collet Ray, to keep hold of 12mm router bits :-)
Thanks Ray, PM sent.
Also, would also appreciate your review and thoughts of the JOF-001 Router.
Have a great weekend,
Best regards, Chris

Great - I'll post it as soon as I get your mailing info. I'll do a review in the near future, to go with the other two Triton router models I've already reviewed.

A review would be awesome. The JOF001 is selling at a good price at the moment and could complete the set very well.

Ray - a review of the JOF-001 would be much appreciated.....
Here in Oz only the JOF-001 and the large TRA-001 are still supplied new by Carbatec; the mid-sized MOF-001 is MIA. That also means no spares/support for the MOF-001, as Carbatec are (understandably) only providing this service for the Triton gear that they actually sell.
I've considered the JOF-001 for a handheld router, but a part of me keeps thinking "You know it won't last 5 minutes, save yourself the hassle and just buy the Festool 1010 instead". Your web guides and advice on keeping my MOF-001 going have been a BIG help, so I'd be very interested to know what you think of the baby Triton router.
With our Woodworking Show season about to kick off, there's a good chance that the Triton gear will be one of the items that Carbatec discount for the shows.......

The review is now published (with another link in the Routing section).
It's here if you get the time.

Another Great Review
Thanks Ray,
Another great review. Much appreciated. (Especially in the absence of any technical support, or even interest, from the new owners of Triton.)
That Detective Gene is still working exceptionally well.
Best regards,
Chris

Thanks, great review and really useful. I hope you do the dismantling one, that would be interesting, although hopefully I won't need it.
I used mine briefly for the first time yesterday and was pleased with it. Nice size and weight, I found it very ergonomic.
The only slighting annoying thing was the quite strong spring on the plunge lock lever. Is there a reason for having a spring? If not I might remove it.Cheers, Glen

Without a spring there is the possibility of the locking cam dragging on the plunge post, making plunging more difficult. The lever itself should be adjustable (if it's like its forerunners - but I didn't unscrew it yet!), so that it rests a little more towards the right. That, in turn, may make the action easier as it starts "over centre," but I haven't tried that myself as I'm OK with it as is.
I wouldn't remove it, because it also helps with unlocking, don't forget.

If anyone wants a MOF001, Carbatec in Auckland has them for sale for NZ$399.
See Triton MOF001 2HP 1/2" Router | Trade Me or Triton MOF001 Router & Template Guide Set | Trade Me for the guides too.
This seller works for Carbatec. I have bought from them online and found them very helpful.
