Hi everyone,

This is my first posting having only found this site last month. The tremendous amount of knowledge, information & help available from members here is incredible.

I'm a Fitter & a Musician & have owned a Mk.3 new series workcentre fitted with a Makita 235mm saw for many years together with the router / Jigsaw kit & a Makita 3601B Router. Have used the equiptment mainly to make built-in cupboards & road cases for our music equiptment.

I have very recently upgraded to a WC201 EV workcentre,(Height Winder & Wheel Kit), ETA300 Sliding Table, TSA001 235mm Power Saw & 2 Multi-stands & a number of carefully chosen 12.5mm Triton Router Bits. I'm impressed with how much more enjoyable & easy it is to work with this new equiptment.

I have the router fitted to the Mk3 in table saw mode. The plan is to upgrade the router to the 2400w Triton further down the track, & use the Makita for handheld use. Improving the Mk3 table & fence could also be a possibility.

I've had to do the modification to the inner track for the sliding table made up the adjustable support bracket & fitted it together with the string line. - nice & straight now. Also the WC fence does not sit at 90deg. to the table. On closer inspection the smooth side appears to be curved. Need to contact GMC regarding this.

Does anyone know what the regular price of the Triton 6.35mm Pro Router Bit Kit RBA120 is. I'm looking at the possibility of using them with the Makita as a handheld router.

Regards
Alan
