235 TSA001 Power saw
I have a problem with my Triton TSA001 235mm Power saw. It started making a grinding noise and smelt like burning electrical wires. I thought it might have been a bearing failure causing the armature to pole, but when I dissmantled it I found the two screws that secure the Field Assembly to the Motor Housing had come loose and broken the plastis mounts. I'M wondering if anyone else has experenced this problem before and where they were able to purchase a new Motor Housing. The mounting of the Field Assembly seems to be a little bit frail for such a powerful saw.
Thank you for taking the time to read my Post.

G'Day Terry,
Sorry but I can't help with this issue but if you think the fixing is repairable you might try a Devcon plastic repair epoxy glue called "Plastic Weld" ITW Devcon | Plastic Welder
http://www.devcon.com/prodfiles/pdfs/fam_tds_182.pdf
from your local Engineering Supplies business.
In industry we used to use it for all sorts of minor repairs on all sorts of plastics
plus I've done a heap of repairs at home with it.
I hope thats of some help, because if you think you can reassemble it this product will allow you to build up & fix the fixing points.
Cheers.

Thanks Crowie but the mounting points for the field windings are well past devcon, I will have to try and source a new motor housing from somewhere.
Thanks again
