    Default 8mm router chuck/collet for Triton routers

    For those of you that own Triton routers with upgraded US style router chucks you can get 8mm and 12mm chucks from Toolspares Online. I just received and tested an 8mm one and it solved the problem I was having using 8mm router bits whilst routing dovetails on my Leigh jig. No more router bit slip and no more collet reducers!!



    Apologies to those who have read about these in my earlier post but I thought it would be worthy of it's own thread!

    I have been thinking of getting one. Should do so sooner rather than later. The new style chucks/collets are so much better.

    They also sell the metal worm shafts for those that are worried about play in the old style plastic worm gear.

    A friend in the US bought one and it was easy to fit.

    I picked up a couple of those as well. I am waiting for my plastic ones to fail before I replace them.
