Accurate mitres
Hi just set up new triton saw (easier than old makita)& happy with results.Mitre cuts not real flash as per other users messages.Try giving this a go, easy, cheap & accurate, get a peice of h/wood say 100x20x20mm slide mitre up near the blade,& where it overhangs the table put h/wood up under o/hang & snug against table edge i first used small g clamp to fix h/wood to mitre fence, made a few test cuts & found perfect 90 deg & scribed mitre gauge to '0'.Have now drilled 2 holes with slight clearance de burred them & attached h/wood under fence if needed take out screws to use mitre at different pos .When putting back to 90 push mitre fence toward table edge & block in against table edge retighten screws if a 'bit' tight when sliding try candle wax etc before adjusting screws.
Maybe one day i will get ext table by the way is smaller of the two ok for general work as space is a bit off a premium.

Neal, in terms of convenience and accuracy, the small extension-table works as well as the larger table. It completely eliminates the need for the type of jig you describe, and best of all introduces a level of accuracy into the Triton Workcentre that defies its low cost.
Talking with other Triton users, I discover that, like me, they never use the crosscut mode once they have the extension table.
I rate the extension table as the most important purchase after the Workcentre and Triton Circular Saw.
