    Question Saw Alignment

Hi everyone this is my first time in this forum.

I own a Triton power table with supplied 184 mm saw. The problem I have is when I try to align the saw with the guide fence. I have to do it multiple times before I get it right, and since you have to flip the table each time it can get a bit painful. The problem I have is in the fact that there is a small bit of flex in the saw blade which makes it difficult to find the correct location for the four locking nuts with the saw blade positioned up against the fence.

Is there a trick to this?

I wonder if you are experiencing "saw slump" this being when the weight of the motor actually moves the blade in relation to the fence, though I don'y know if saw slump will actually change the setting of the blade parallel setting with the fence (anyone know??). There is an accessory bracket asembly to prevent saw slump and it is highly recommendedin any case.

Good luck with that one Xenon. You might be able to brace it up and you can try adjusting it in location just by increasing the tightness of the bolts.

Can't say I know much about Triton gear but sometimes a bit of extra tension on the fixtures can do the trick.

Check out announcements as we are getting an Adelaide BBQ happening. Members from as far as the SE and Pirie will be there going by past form

    Hi there Xenon

Not sure about cause of your problem (multiple reasons) but had a similiar situation with aligning saw (non triton) on my w/centre 2000, always gave me heaps until I installed Triton saw bracing kit (check product name) now my blues are over, saw stays set 95% of time (saw slump was my accursed enemy). Hope this helps......Cheers Stan
