Alternate saw for Triton 2000 Workcentre
Hi all, my first post. I have a Triton 2000 Workcentre and need a suitable replacement saw. The existing saw is dead (mostly) - it spins at a fraction of normal speed. I thought it may be brushes but i can't find replacements anywhere. For what it's worth the existing saw is a Warrior (WA CS 235P). Unsure if Triton or not. It's the same orange colour as the Triton workbench.
I see in other posts various comments about using dewalt, makita, etc saw in the 2000 Workcentre, and to choose once with a strong base to avoid sagging, etc. I suppose i'm seeking more detailed guidance.
Has anyone found success with a recently purchased saw? i'd love to know the make and model please ) will make my trip to Bunnings or Total Tools much less stressful.
cheers...

I have a makita in mine and has been used for nearly 30 years ( golly that makes me old) but any circular saw that is good quality will be perfect for a triton.

Before Triton introduced their own saw range they recommended the Hitachi C9 - a very sturdy saw. There is one here:

I ran a Makita 9-1/4 inch in mine for many years and found it could handle anything that I threw at it.
Powerful and reliable, and extra blades - fine tooth etc - were not expensive

thanks guys for the quick and useful feedback ) i think i'll visit Cash Converters and buy that C9 ). That'll get me going quickly. The workbench was a freebie to me. It's missing some other parts (like the triangle) which i'd like to source and buy, but at some point I may consider splashing out and buying a new table saw.
Thanks again.
cheers...
