Battery Resurrection
I have thrown out many tools because the batteries died and could not be replaced. I have held on to this four piece GMC set hoping that batteries may become available in the future. When walking through K-Mart I spotted PERFORMER brand batteries for $6.00 each (Six Dollars) and they looked similar to the GMC. So I bought one to try. Nearly fitted but missed out by "this much" as Maxwell Smart would say. So I figured that the cells inside may be adapted to fit.
Guess What! they did and so I now have an operating set of tools. If interested you should trawl the K-Marts near you as the are discontinuing separate batteries and only keeping ---- Drill?Battery Sets.
Now I do not have any interest in the business mentioned and I offer this information only to help fellow forumites!
regards Ned
