In further reading of the release, it appears GMC are going to keep Triton as their elite range, targetting professionals and woodworkers.
Where to from here is anyone's guess. Triton Lathe? Triton Bandsaw?"Clear, Ease Springs"

I think the accoutants at Hills Industries are probably breathing a sigh of relief. Not knocking the triton stuff, had a MKIII myself and it more than paid for itself, but I think that in recent years sales of the workcentres might have been dropping off as the price of imported table saws has come down. I wonder what changes we will see due to this sale? A change from Triton orange to GMC blue?

Somebody is going to have to go back through all the posts to see which Triton owners have said "I will never buy GMC".

I wonder what the 20-30 new products for the 2nd half of 2005 are? Triton cement mixer, arc welder, lawn mower, laser guided router ...
If I do not clearly express what I mean, it is either for the reason that having no conversational powers, I cannot express what I mean, or that having no meaning, I do not mean what I fail to express. Which, to the best of my belief, is not the case.

I just hope they will still offer the excellent product support that we have come to expect from Triton...

I'm hoping so - I have found GMC to be very supportive when there has been a problem, so the 2 companies seem to have a similar concept of customer support.
