    Default Biscuit joiner question

I have acquired a biscuit joiner old style BJA001, plus an adaptor kit to turn it into one that works with the new style router table RTA300.
But the adaptor kit states that anyone with a biscuit joiner in the serial number range 38,281 to 44,443 should contact Triton for a replacement guard cage.
Of course, my serial number is in that range!
Does anyone know why the guard cage needs to be replaced? Was it a safety issue, or something else?

Click here, scroll down to the "330025 Biscuit Joiner System 200," then download the Spare Parts .pdf file. Once you open it, you'll see that the guard cage assembly is shown at item 22. If you zoom in a bit, you may be able to detect differences. Best I can do, sorry!

Thanks for the suggestion Ray, but the pdf's are of the BJA300, not the system 2000 - false labelling!
