saw blade
I have a triton saw fitted with a 235mm 40 tooth blade.
However is it permissable and safe to fit a smaller diameter blade 180 or 200 blade .
The reason I ask is their are more price deals available on some smaller blades.
I appreciate I have got to watch the bore size. do kerf thicknesses come into the equasion?woody U.K.

There is no problem in using a smaller size blade. The only
issue is you will loose that extra depth of cut.

You also loose some cutting tip speed, while increasing the effective saw torque. Harder to stall the saw, and you need to have a slower feed rate.......
