Blade Catching On Table Slot
Season's Greetings all.
I have a Triton 2000 Workcentre with a 235mm blade installed. I used the depth adjustment locking lever to get the maximum depth, I get 52mm. I see others have achieved a depth of cut of 58mm in table saw mode without the 10 inch blade mod.
Reading the manual I see the micro depth adjustment knob has an adjustment range of 6mm. I'm assuming if I adjust the knob ( 52mm + 6mm = 58mm ) I too can get get a depth of cut of 58mm which should be fine for me.
Anyway back to the reason for my post.
When I reset the depth of cut with the depth adjustment lever. At maximum depth of cut the blade rotates freely in the plastic slot. However when I reduce the depth of cut using the height adjustment knob the blade catches on the side. The blade looks to be square against the fence.
Anyone any ideas?
All the best for the New Year.
Pete.

Have you checked the way the top is attached. When my blade 'ran off' once those clicky things were not in correctly on the ends.

I think what's being referred to is the red plastic insert, shown in this photo:

Well, the red plastic bit is moveable.

Yes, on second thought it would be further away from the blade when the blade's lowered anyway. The OP must mean the slot itself, but that's alloy, not plastic.

There's another insert for the bevel cutter. But we're no closer to understanding the original problem here.
