Hi Crowie,
Hope all is as well as can be in your world, more than happy to help if I can, need to see a picture or get my hands on the base plate if possible, some of this type of castings can be a little tricky.
Ana is a member of the Woodworking forum & is often asking questions on various subjects.

Fixed
Well, the saw is up and running after thanks to a second hand base plate from Dennis at Triton Woodworking Tools
Cost me $65 packed and posted and the bonus is that the saw is now more accurate than ever. It seems that the original base plate was a little warped (had the cams twisted in opposite directions to get it close to parallel with the fence). Whether it was a casting fault or if it had been dropped prior to me purchasing it , I'm not sure , but it sure is a lot more fun to use .
Anyway Denis was a huge help and so easy to deal with, that I would still purchase from him even if the exchange rate wasn't so good at the moment.
cheers
Ian
