Buying triton saw in Melbourne
Hi guys.
Ive Decided to get the Triton saw to go with my WC2000 and was wondering if anyone in Melbourne knows where to geta good price for it.
Ive been reading through these forums and noticed alot of guys steer clear of bunnings??? why is that, its my favorite shop in the world lol. Are there prices to high?
Ive just priced the saw there today and its currently $337 how does that compare to other places .
And lastly my WC2000 which i won in a christmas raffle last year and have only just put it together lol, has a serial number 364897 will that take the saw as is or will i need the newer slide chassis (thingamujig)
Thanks
Tony

finnster, from some of the posts I have seen here recently, naybe you should give the triton factory "seconds" a go.. unfortunatly I dont know wher it is, maybe Barry can help here...
As for Bunnings.. I go there very rarely now, all the local hardware stores down this way will match any price bunnings set, so I keep my money local.

I try and do new things twice.. the first time to see if I can do it.. the second time to see if I like it

I paid the same price you quoted for the saw and that was from Bunnings.
Maybe Mitre 10 will beat em? Failing that, the Melbourne Wood expo is coming up on the 25-28th Oct, might be a bargain to be found?

finnster,
I was lucky enough to get a price from Bowens of $320 (on special), which I then took to Bunnings and thus got it for $288. I believe they may be repeating the special for the Woodwork show late October??
