    Default Old chassis hook

I have been contacted by a non-member who has just acquired a 2000 workcentre with the old grey chassis. But it is missing the red locking latch that locks the chassis to the top. I know many members upgraded to the pressed metal chassis, and I'm wondering if anyone has the hook from the old chassis that they would be prepared to part with. He lives in Heidelberg Heights, so a Melbourne seller/donor would be helpful.
    Thanks
    Chris

Any chance of a photo of the piece, or a catalogue reference? I have a box of random Triton pieces at home that I have no use for except for cases like this.

It's part WCA266, but I don't have a good picture of it. The best I have is this one.
(there was once a photo of it on this forum, before the big photo clearout!)

VEK tools can order many spare parts for triton sawbenches etc

cheaper than s/hand on ebay, as I found out,

they could probably get it for you

hanks Hodgo, but this part is so old it isn't made any more. I thought there must be quite a few lurking in sheds, but apparently not.

I DO have one after all!

I was given an old MK3 saw chassis a few years ago, I didn’t realise that the exact same chassis was used in the early 2000 series. When I saw your photo I thought “nah, pretty sure that old MK3 is different”. Anyhoo, I’ve just come home from work (FIFO worker) and had a quick look in the shed and there is the funny little red clip.

So, does he want the whole chassis or just the clip? It was free to me from another forumite and I’ll pass it on for the postage only.

    Chief,
any chance you could post a photo of it for any future part hunters? I'd also like to know how it differs from the later version for the pressed chassis..

    WCA266

Here are some pics of the offending item

If all he wants is the catch I’m happy to pay it forwards, just PM me the delivery address. If he wants the entire chassis then he’ll have to spring for a satchel. Either way I should be ok to get it posted out on Monday.
