Cheap bar clamps
3 different size quick release bar clamps are going for $6.95 each at the Hills Clearance Centre in Riverwood.
they have 12" (300mm), 24" (600mm) and 48" (1200mm).
Only popped in for a look, should have taken my wallet with me:mad:
Gonna have to go back and get me some of those big'uns - maybe 10 should do for starters

Where in Riverwood is this magical place? I'm staying at Revesby and it sounds like I might need to pay a visit....

Ahh, I know exactly where it is. A mate used to live off Wiggs Road. Thanks Gaza. Looks like I have something to do on Thursday morning before I go out to Hare & Forbes. Hope there's some clamps left. Hands off you lot!!

HB, are they any good? If so I may have to wander over to Riverwood tomorrow, since I work at Oatley.

They are very good.
they are a quick release, trigger type of bar clamp. looks like a spear gun without the pointy bit
they have heaps of the little ones but limited number of the big ones and medium sized ones.
Played with them before I bought a couple and they clamp very tightly. There's also a couple of G-clamps in stock too.
I should be on commission with these guys

HB, I just happened to be going by Riverwood at lunch today . . . A set of each, they feel solid enough. I shall test them against my "Quick Clamps".
A point of interest, the maxamin openings:
12" opens 305mm
24" opens 615mm
48" opens 1230mm
I also got two 6" G clamps, but i thik they're onto you . . . a bloke wanders in each week, with notepad in hand, recording all the prices of the triton and associated tools . . .I told them that you only say good things about them . . . wish I had more "Toy" money for today! Greenie for you to thankyou for the tip.Pat
