Well I'm trying to avoid ...oh damm it.. the Triton that is shown on the site, has been in my view totally
decapitated to what this machine was designed for, I mean, If I want a TRITON then I expect this....

Now the first one is up for sale on e-bay for $275... the second item is also on E-Bay for $450
Now if I buy both.. I pay $ 725 and look what I get for my money..
Guards legs, protractor,extension table, 3 MK3 tables, etc,etc, etc
Now compare this to the $900 value, mmmmm what shall I do.
even if I try to rectify the $900 machine how many holes,slots
and where is the guards,legs,protractor,
Oh I JUST WANT TO CRY

I'm still struggling to understand your tears. There are plenty of Mk 3's available for less than $275, and if you don't want a heavily modified 2000 then don't buy one, or ask him if he still has the legs to put it back the way it was.

to a Triton 2000 would have been better off buying a contractor's saw or a cabinet saw in the first place. It would have saved them time and money and had a far more accurate and versatile machine. I think they wasted a lot of effort stripping the triton of its good features, such as portability and compactness but did not enhance its performance to match the tablesaws . It still is lacking in depth of cut and no tilting blade and the pressed metal top still flexes. but thats nothing for anyone except the owner to cry about.

First, to shed tears, simply means, to see something, nice manifested into something it's not designed to do
ie, (1) all that wiring,to start up a saw.. (2)where's the "STOP" button gone.(3) how do you move it
(4) mobility. put it in your car? (5) Dust collection???? (6) SAFETY SAFETY SAFETY (7) Height winder
etc etc etc
Guy's it's like, what's the point of the excersize
(1) Sell the TRITON for $270 (b4 you make alterations)

If its about the $900 asking price, well, if you are not a buyer, who cares? I could not find it on ebay so could not check on what is or is not included.

Or do you have a fettish about Triton legs, and anguish at their omission?

This used to be a Triton feature. When I got my Triton Mk 3 in 1983 it did not have legs and they were not an option - no holes predrilled for their attachment. (I know, Triton later changed this) The Mk 3 just had three tiny stub legs - rubber door stoppers? Triton then supplied plans for you to build your own base, with or without cupboards or drawers. Triton demonstrators (remeber them) endlessly demonstrated how to make a stand in 15 minutes, or was it ten. They recommended that your first project on the Triton should be to build a stand. I listened and my blue gum stand still serves me well. The "door stoppers" just cradle into recesses drilled into the top of the legs on the stand. Still effective after 30 years! As for portability, I just pick up the Triton and carry it wherever; the stand stays in the workshop.

Ok, your pictured Triton base unit is not from the Triton set of plans and is not as recommended by Triton. No point crying over their creative flare, however sub-optimal.

Sensitive souls, please do not read the next paragraph as I know that it is sacrilegious on this sub-forum. While Triton were a brilliant concept 30 years ago, and mine has served me very well, I think their time has passed. A new Triton costs around $700 plus, say, $300 for a compatible circular saw, total cost of around $1,000. And you get a flexible pressed steel product. A far more rigid and more easily adjustable table saw now costs from $500 (eg Makita 2704 at local M10 $499.) For what they do, those other workcentres you refer to, Huey, look equally expensive.
