Extension table & router stand
Can anyone give me an idea what would be the best price I could expect to pay for a mini extension table and a router stand (I've got the router table) I rang Bunnings and they said $234 for the ext table and $150 for the router stand. I rang Mitre 10 in Heidelberg and the lady had to look up codes as they stock triton stuff but not much. She came up with the code ETA 100 (which turns out to be the right code) for the table and a price of $205!!! Big difference to Bunnings considering Mitre 10's price on the router stand was more expensive at $169. Out of interest I rang Triton about seconds stuff and they had a mini table which the lady told me retails new for about $270 and the 2nd was going for $206 (same price as new one at Mitre 10!!)

Buy it from Bunnings and use their price match guarantee and pay only $ 184.50 for the extension table

Not a bad idea Sturdee, but I gather you need some proof, like a catalogue etc. By the way, I am in East Doncaster. I see you are in Donvale. Do you have much in the way of Triton stuff? I wouldnt mind having a look if you have.

You do not need proof like a catalogue, just go in and advise them where and what price you got ( BTW it is good to know the sales assistants name who quoted the price ). They will probably confirm the details by phone and then reluctantly price match.
In regards as to how much Triton equipment I have, follow the following link :

and then send me a pm with your contact details.

I went to Bunnings and a staff member rang Mitre 10 to check the price. He was told they dont have them in stock but would order it in. The 10% off relates to 'in stock' products and Bunnings would not be moved on that. But to get the sale, they agreed to sell it for the same price. Got myself a height winder kit as well. Now contemplating the router stand.

Came across the same problem a few months ago rang up timbercom and got prices for some triton gear as there were cheaper than Bunnings. Bunnings rang up and cheacked the price no problem 10% off. Went back to bunnings to do the same deal a few weeks later and they wouldn`t give 10% off because they said it had to be a local dealer as Timbercom is WA and I`m in SA. Only real difference is you have to get the gear sent from WA. Does anyone know if Bunnings has to beat the price bye 10%. They wouldn`t give 10% but matched it also.

Goldy,
I too had the same response when I went to get my Triton Router.
When I spoke to the sales rep at Bunnings and informed him of Timbecon's price and whether he would price match it - even though he jumped up 'n down and said that no way they can do it from one side of Aus to the other, I stood my ground and after ringing a manager they came to the party.
They tried the old "but you have to read the fine print" etc etc however I said I have not seen any fine print - all I hear on radio and see on TV is they will better "any' advertised price by 10% and claim they are the cheapest Australia wide - so true to their word they beat Timbecons price by 10%.
Their Policy is 'Lowering prices Australia Wide All day Every Day"
Stand your ground and they should price match + beat it by 10%.
Nowhere have I seen any 'fine print' or any advertisement stating it has to be a 'local store'Regards,

Have you tried Home hardware here in SA. They tell (people at Reynella) that they are the cheapest in SA when it comes to Triton products.
