High Fence for WC
Hi all,
Just a quick question for those more knowledgeable than me. I want to have a high fence on the workcentre for centain cuts. How do people go about this? Do you attach a frnce ont the existing aluminium one, or do you make a new one, or some other method?
Hope this make sense..
Cheers

Attach one on to the existing fence. 2 pces of mdf, one as wide as you want the new fence height to become which butts up against the vertical face of the existing fence and the other butted up against the 45 degree fence on the rear face. Just screw them together where they meet. (Hope you get what i mean - I have obne and can post a photo if u want)

Mark,
In the video on the workcentre 2000 George shows a jig that rides on the fence that you can adept for your purpose.
If you have the older style Mk3 have a look at the way I modified my fence. It may be helpfull.

Thanks Gumby, I will give that a go. That way I can remove it when not needed. Just what the doctor ordered.
Thanks for the tip Sturdee. However I dont have a VCR anymore so I cant watch the video. Asked Triton and they had no plan to go to DVD....
Oh well..
Thanks again.

here's a photo of mine, although it isn't high enough at least it shows how it's done. The Triton video is now available on DVD so somebody gave you the wrong steer. It's well worth getting and has lots of jigs etc

Thanks again Gumby.
I'll knock one up on the weekend.
As for the DVD it was Triton who said they had no plans to go to DVD. But this was about 10 months ago.
Where did you get yours? Bunnies,Triton or another? Must confess, I haven't seen it at Bunnies, but then again wasn't looking either.
Thanks again.

I haven't got the DVD, I have the tape but we had 3 copies of the DVD at the Triton Club Meeting at Holmesglen TAFE a coupkle of weeks ago. They are available for members to borrow each month so maybe you'd like to come to the next meeting and check us out. (Saves buying one!)
To buy one though, I would make another call to Triton but I'd be surprised if Bunnies didn't have it in stock. If at first you don't succeed, give something else a go. Life is far too short to waste time trying.

Triton DVD
I was recently sent a voucher by Triton offering me the DVD at $10, after I had sent in a warranty registration card for my latest orange toy (finger jointer).
I sent it off and received the DVD from them pretty quickly. It seems to be the same as the video, although I can't remember exactly - I borrowed the video a while ago. As Sturdee says, it's well worth getting (especially at that price).Carsten
