Fitting Router to RTA200 router table.
Hi all, I just purchased a Triton Router and now want to attach it to the RTA200 Router table, the one where the router first attaches to a sliding chasis and the table is then placed over it.
The router attaches to the NEW router table (RTA300) by way of 2 lugs on the bottom which fit into KEYED holes in the mouting plate.
I would like to male these same KEYED holes in my sliding chasis but don't know exactly what shape they should be and there exact placement.
Does anyone have a picture/drawing of the keyed holes they could post so I can overley it on my sliding chasis to drill/file the keyed holes.
Thanks

Gazza,
you are on the right track, you probably don't live in Brisbane but if you do reply to this message and i'll give you a hand as I have a template from the RTA300. If you don't live in Brisbane try emailing Triton for a template or go to a demo where you can trace the holes from the demonstrator.

I couldn't wait until tomorrow to contact Triton for a template so I removed the mounting bolts from the base of the router and by using a straight bit with the router alignment insert that comes with the RTA200 table I was able to scribe where the bolts holes and slots should be.
By looking at a picture of the new RTA300 mounting plate I was able to drill/file the same key holes in my RTA200 mounting plate.
Works perfectly, quick and easy mounting/removing of the router from the older style table.
Took about 1 hr to do.

Gazza,
Again, well done. A pat on the back for your forward thinking - there should be more of it. Let's hope everyone else can benefit from Gazza's inspiration.
