    Default Fitting Triton Dustbag

    Hi all

I am attempting to fit my triton dustbag to my workcenter 2000 but cannot for the life of me figure it out. I think maybe I am missing some parts for this.

I am trying to follow the instructions from this PDF.

    http://www.tritontools.uk.com/page91.html

Here are the pieces that I currently have:

    IMAG0666.jpg
    IMAG0667.jpg
    IMAG0668.jpg

Is this all that I need? From the instructions PDF I do not have the foam piece in figure 1 and also the black piece in figure 3.

From the front cover on the instructions PDF it looks like the bag wraps around the silver rails of the table, but how does it do this? Also in my 4th picture, what are the velcro openings for in each corner?

Sorry if this post if confusing, I've just spent a couple of hours trying to figure this one out, thought I'd ask you trusty lot on this great site

Edit: Sorry about the attached image at the bottom, don't know how to remove it.

    Cheers

    Joe

You don't appear to have the lower section of the kit, the dust bag which attaches to the circular ring on the upper part shown in your first photo. We also need to see a photo of the other side (the top) of the grey upper section in your first photo. The dust bucket isn't part of the dust bag arrangement - it's a separate dust collector that attaches to a vacuum cleaner.

In the first photo you have the bag upside down to how it should be on the saw. This bag should have a 'flap' that goes on top of the saw and fastens with velcro. Have a look on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVPAD7U7mJQ - the video doesn't show how to put the dust collection bag on, at least it shows how it looks when assembled.

Do you have this manual? http://www.carbatec.com.au/pdf/manua...0Instructs.pdf

    Hi,
There are 2 versions of the dust collector, at a wild guess you could be trying to fit one with the instructions for the other. The older one had a funnel that connected to the dust bucket ( that is why it has 2 inlets) the later one has it's own bag and only the blade guard connects to the bucket.
    Good luck with it
    Hugh

Enough is enough, more than enough is too much.

Yeah I dont have that top section from the youtube video, the black piece that seems to go right across the saw chassis. This has to be the piece I am missing. Though looking at mine, the top of it is more like a drawstring, not velcro.

Here is a photo of the top section.

I have exactly the same problem. I've just bought a 2nd hand one that has never been used and I only have the parts you have. Did you ever get yours fitted cos I'm totally confused and there doesn't appear to be any helpful instructions for idiots like me.

Hey Rob, no, never did figure this out. I actually haven't looked at it again for years. Still have all the parts though. If you do figure it out, please post back here

I've realised since my reply that there are two types of dust bags. I of course have bought the wrong one.dust bag.jpg This is the bag I have and it's not the right one for my Triton (Different type of table). You may be in the same predicament. they sell for about $118 on eBay from the UK. I've put mine on Gumtree for $60.

    Regards Rob

It's not for the work bench we have it's for the smaller saw bench.
