Fixed Extension Table compatability
Good evening all,
I am interested in fitting the "old" fixed extension table (available as an option with the Mark 3) to my new WC2000 and according to the compatability chart found on this site, it will fit onto the 2000. My question to you long-time users of Triton equipment is this; given that the table will fit the 2000, are you aware of any 'difficulities" in making it do so??
I wish to fit this table simply to give me a larger working area.

Al,
Would that be the Mick who manages the bone orchard?

Doug,
Seems to be simply known as a fixed extension table & is shown on the compatability chart as "Fixed Extension Table ETA001". It is really only a table which attaches to the left side of the WC and extends the flat table top by its width. It's sort of like a WC without anything on the top. (If you can follow my description). May have been the primitive forerunner to the sliding extension table.

And the Mick who is a lover of (dare I say it) FORDS, & has a brother who is a mechanic in Beaufort?

I have recently purchased a RSA300 stand and am working on a below table dust box. There are two square holes ( about 30mm square) in each end of the sides of the table. Should I ensure that the dust box does not extend to prevent a clear line of sight through the holes from end to end? What are the holes for - I presume some sort of extension table locator?

I wouldn't worry about blocking 'em in any case. It's better to have a working dustbox now than to put it off until(if) you buy an extension...
You can always make/modify your dustbox again and it'll give you an excuse to play with your toys.

Thanks for that. I noticed them when I was in the process of fitting the top panels to the dustbox and was wondering if I should modify my design. I think I'll just push on and get it finished. I have been thinking about eventually building a wooden bench around a space for the triton stands anyway - that way it won't matter what the holes are for.

I used to have one with my MK3 before the sliding extension table was made.
With the table you should have 2 round gadgets that bolt onto the workcentre, with the MK3 it goes on the LHS and bolted on the top front and rear bolts that hold the box together using longer bolts ( originally supplied ).
The table than stands against it and with the mating gadget clamps against the workcentre so that they don't move independently yet easily removed if needed. The table top can be used level with the WC top or lifted up and put on the lower level to match it in the docking mode.
I had it permanently at the top and build a wooden shelf bolted to it at a lower level for extra storage. Later I adapted it and fixed it to the RHS as an shortened outfeed table as I got the sliding table. There are some post with pics on how I did it if you're interested.
If you have the room it is well worth the effort of fitting it. Having said that the TSC10HB is better.
