Default FJA 300 finger joint kit

    Hi everyone

I'm considering buying one of these
I'm trying to work out what part of the jig controls the spacing between cuts
I understand the setup template, is there a notch or similar that locates the following cuts

any other feedback on this kit also appreciated

    cheers
    Bryan

Under the jig is a metal finger that is used as a register, the first cut is made with the timber butted up to it and all subsequent cuts are made by placing the last cut over it. It’s double sided so you can have 1/2” or 1/4” fingers.

There is also a set up plate that allows you to hold all four pieces to be cut at once, this plate offsets two of the box sides.
Nothing succeeds like a budgie without a beak.

cant believe the timing, I just bought a brand new one today and carried out the maiden experimental cuts this evening - very tight

funny thing tho I had to drill a new hole in the sliding chassis to relocate the sliding bearing by 20mm to clear the router table (triton) corner mount

all good, Ill get serious with it all in the coming days

    cheers
