FJA300 Compatibility
Hey,
I have a MK3 Workstation and have now acquired an FJA300, Finger jointer for Christmas.
I have been looking at the web site and also reading the instructions that comes with this kit.
Am I right in presuming that the Figer jointer is not compatible with the MK3 Workstation?
Was there another finger jointer that we could have got that is?
Or do I need to purchase a router table? Is the RSA300 compatible with the FJA300?
Any help you can provide me with is appreciated. Model numbers etc would be good also.

To use the Finger Jointer (FJA300) you will need the Router Table (RTA300). It will only work with that model table. But I not sure if that table can fit the MK3. Most likely but I'm sure someone else will know that answer.
With the new table you can also use the Biscuit Joiner (BJA300 or with a mod from Triton you can also use the older BJA001).
Maybe Santa needs to make another visit??

Robert.......You are in luck...
The RTA300 (Router Table) will fit onto your MkIII workcentre, and the FJA300 will fit onto that - but the FJA300 (Finger Jointer) will not fit any previous model router tables - it needs the large rectangular cutout that only the RTA300 has.
It is not all bad.... you can keep your MkIII and use it as a Router stand when you decide to buy a decent Series 2000 workcentre.

So does that mean?
Hey,
Thanks for the replies!
Does that mean I can use the FJA300 with my MK3 workstation?
I don't own an RTA300.
I was looking at buying the RSA300 perhaps as a way around the problem.
But if the FJA300 fits my Mk3 workstation...all is fine ...ahhhhh.

Also I've already got a router top to fit my Mk3 workstation. Does that mean I won't need it anymore? :<

Robert,
To use the finger jointer( FJA300) you will need the latest router table top ( RTA 300) as the finger jointer will not fit any workcentre without that router table top.
But the router table top ( RTA 300 ) will fit onto your MK3 and you do not have to buy the router stand as the workcentre can be used.
Peter.
