    Hi guys,

Finally got a tool made. We could not copy it exactly but figured out that we only needed the two pegs to turn the plate so I ended up making the tool in the picture - a bit crude but it works.

Thanks again for all your help.

    Cheers

    John

Default GMC 1050W router table dust extraction hood

I've lost the dust extraction hood off my router table( GMC 1050W ). Just wondering if #1 it's really necessary to use it for safety reasons and #2 does anyone have one they aren't going to use. I'm prepared to pay for it obviously. Just like to keep everything together. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards

    Rob

    Hi delbs,

Thanks for thinking of us. The tool me made worked fairly well and we got several months of hard work out of the router table before we managed to burn out the motor. We decided then to invest in a decent router table so the old machine was cannibalised for anything useful and disposed of.

Thanks again for thinking of us.

Good to hear, Ill see how many boards i can run through mine then before it dies. If you dont mind me asking what did you replace it with? build your own table or a fabricated one? and what sort of router?

    Cheers!

    Hi delbs,

We bought am RT-100 router table from Hare & Forbes and put a big Triton router in it. It has worked pretty well so far though I do prefer my own setup at home which is a Triton router in a Triton table.

    Cheers
