GMC Powered Router Table
John from the Men's Shed at Korumburra (Vic) here.
We have been given a GMC 1050W Powered Router Table for the Shed but it is missing the height adjustment tool and we have been unable to locate one.
Does anyone have a tool that we could use as a template to make one so that we can make use of the table? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
John D

The best thing you can do with a GMC powered router table is put it in the trailer and take it to the local tip. Seriously, it's not worth the effort.
If at first you don't succeed, give something else a go. Life is far too short to waste time trying.

Hi John
Sorry, I can't help you at all but wanted to say that you Men's Shed blokes are awesome. The opportunity and connection you guys provide to men across this country is amazing. I consider myself very fortunate that I have a social network, access to tools and a place to work. I also take comfort in the fact that if I didn't have these things that the Men's Shed community exists.
I hope to contribute to this fine establishment one day when life slows down a little.

Thanks for your responses. We'll have a go at trying to make up something to do the job, there's a small picture in the instruction book but it does not show any detail but we should be able to figure something out.
cheers

Hello JD,
I think we have one of these at the Hills Mens Shed.

Thanks for that Michael,
Detailed photos and measurements would be great, we could then make something up to do the job. We do have the spanner. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks for sketch and photos Michael.
The sketch is too small to read dimensions off and the photos a bit small to print. Are you able to pm me with larger versions of the sketch and photos?
Cheers

John, if you click the thumbnails they should open up lager in a new window/tab. Click the new images, and they will supersize. Or right click the new images, and 'saveas' to your pc. Works okay for me.

Thanks Chris, I was just saving the images off the page. All OK when you open up in new tab.
Michael, Thanks very much for all that - we will start trying to make that up tomorrow.
Thanks everyone for your help and advice.
Cheers

Hi Michael,
Just back from visiting the grandkids in Queensland. Last I heard, one of the guys at the Shed was going to make something up using the sketch and photos as a guide. I'll find out when I get back to the Shed next week.
Cheers
