burgher, the branches not in the catalogue don't have the stock,
looks like a drive to Ballarat or Horsham.
might ring them first thing tomorrow on about paying by card over phone and sending it via courier.

Allright already, just my little attempt at ironic humour, just to say that it isn't only people in Geelong that don't get the Dahlsen catalogue Boy, we are touchy today.
I did say thank your for your post, just thought I would give a link to the on-line catalogue for people in Geelong, Bendigo and Outer Mongolia.

Hi Ecidna.
Best you know what courier you need to use before you phone up.Dahlsens at Ballarat quoted me $90 to deliver to Geelong Last sale about a month ago.I complained and was told that was it
I have got a bundle of timber off cuts from mid NSW for $20 .Thought that was good. But $90 from Ballarat isa bit rough I think Geraldines Couriers go to Ballarat still. Not sure.http://www.yellowpages.com.au/bi/ger...c-4660138.html
I go the wife to take me up.Back To Car Building & All The Sawdust.

Cant help you alot BB but the lady on the cash register told me they (Dahlsens) are offering 2 year replacement or cash back if they dont have a replacement. If I were you I would confirm this. Send a PM to Trainor the member who started this thread or phone Dahlsen branch
If all you need to resaw in smaller than 90 mm then I would try one.Ask about replacement blades or phone a blade supplier to se if they can supply blades to suit Aussie1511mm long Band Saw BladeBack To Car Building & All The Sawdust.

I rolled through the local Dahlsen yesterday and picked up the small 184mm Triton saw for $99.
There was a pallet load of these and another pallet load of the 235mm saw plus the tiny Li-On screwdriver....that's all the Triton stuff there was.
As for GMC....a small circular saw plus the tiny trim/tile saw (for which the tiny blades may be unobtainable anyway), a angle grinder/polisher, four bandsaws (all repackaged), hand mover, rotary hammer drill....and a whole truckload of small stocking stuffer type stuff. Frankly nothing that caught the eye or stirred the soul.Ours is not to reason why.....only to point and giggle.

Thanks again Aussie

The triton that has just come up at Carb would be a better buy.I have the 12" model.
Very happy with it.After replacing that thing that resembles a blade in the machine,it works wonderfully well. Can cut 50mm tas oak into 1mm veneers using the supplied fence. No tricks.Just feed through.Dont know what I want them for.I did it to see if I could, after setting up the new blade
