hi and welcome to the forum.

I think you are referring to the small plastic piece that clips over the round rod near the height winder with a rectangular slot facing upwards. if so the brace to which you referis onthe underside of the sawtable top.

Once you have put the sawtable top on and engaged the chassis hook for the first time, remove the top immediately and make a mark on the aluminium rails at the end of the height winder chassis so you can align the chassis easily every time from now on, a real timesaver ifyou have a dustbag. if you dont have a dustbag, get one. hope this helps

    ejay...

The Hgt winder is supplied with two RED plastic chassis hooks. One to suit the Mk3 and the other to suit 2000 series.

One is kind of or "H" shape - with one open end designed to clip over the round bar on the height winder (that would now be attached to the chassis), and the other open end wider, and flatter at the bottom, and it sits facing up, and engages to the underside of the table top, over the most rearward cross brace.

The Mk3 clip (if I remember) is more of an offset "Y" shape, but works in a similar way to the Series 2000 clip - It looks and fits differently to the underside of the tabletop, because the tops are so different.

    Make sense?
