Height winder on old Workcentre 2000
Here is the advice I received from Triton today, on the compatibility of the saw height winder and a 1998 Workcentre 2000. I am sure it will be helpful to others.
regards to all,
Jill
Triton Series 2000 Workcentre (WCA 200) made between October 1996 and July 1999 had the Saw Slide Chassis WCA 340 are made out of die cast aluminium. This is not as strong as the current one which is made out of pressed steel.
The die cast aluminium Saw Slide Chassis (WCA 340) is not upgradable and cannot take the Height Winder Kit (WCA 390). In order to upgrade to that stage, you have to get a Saw Slide Chassis Upgrade (WCA 400) so the Height Winder Kit can be attached to.
The Height Winder is adaptable only to the steel pressed saw slide chassis. Hence, you need two products : WCA 390 Height Winder Kit and WCA 400 Saw Slide Chassis Upgrade.
