Help! My Triton collet is stuck, and it's not the typical stuck collet!
I used a 7/64 drill bit thinking it would be ok just for one hole and now look what happened. I know, I'm an idiot. I thought .015" would not make a difference.
The funny bit is that I got the drill bit out. The chuck screwed out, now all that's left is the collet sleeve in the router. How do I release it without damaging the router???

The sleeve has come adrift from the nut when you undid it. In order to remove the sleeve, ideally it must be re-snapped into the nut, but this often proves to be impossible, because there is no sleeve protruding from the shaft.
What you need to fashion or procure is a small strong hook so that you can try to get below the sleeve and ease it out with pulling motions equally spread around the circumference.
If it's not possible to get anything below the sleeve, then get a correct-sized cutter and thoroughly wrap the business end. Try levering up and out, distributing the effort around the sleeve. If you can move the collet sleeve up at all, you may be able to snap the nut back on if - and only if - you can somehow prevent it retreating into the shaft again when you screw the collet nut on.
