    Default Help Valuing Triton Gear

    Hi Guys,

I need to move my Triton gear on and was wondering if you guys can help me value it.

All the gear is in excellent condition and had little home use, so no rust just a few rub marks from timer passing through the saw.

From memory I have the following

    The VHS Tape.
    2000 Work centre
Second Saw Top (two in total)
    Triton Circular Saw
    Bevel Ripping Guide
    Dust Bucket and hoses.
Fabric Dust cover for under the saw
The galvanised tube frame that make it a panel saw.

I also have an early triton router table which I may also throw in or keep at this stage I'm undecided.

Any advice on best place to sell? ebay? and how to price it much appreciated.

    I have these items.
    From the website:

Table can be locked in position for conventional ripping of wide workpieces. Sliding table for panel saw use. The patented rip fence design allows fence settings at all angles. Incorporates work hold-down clamps.

    BRA 200
    Bevel Ripping Guide
Enables accurate bevels and chamfers from 15° through 90°. Makes use of the Workcentre protractor for control of short bevels and perfect compound mitres. Fully adjustable, for bevelling or chamfering of long and wide pieces. Fits Triton Workcentre System 2000 directly; adaptor kit available for earlier models.

    DCA 250
    Workcentre Dust Bag
Easy-fit dust bag with detachable pouch. Combined with a vacuum connection to the overhead guard, this dust bag collects almost 100% of the dust created in tablesaw mode. Figure out the current retail price for everything and set the price at:

75% if in as new condition, or you don't really want to sell it.
50% if in ok condition, or you don't mind waiting a little while to sell (you may not have to wait long, you never know).
25% if in poor condition, or you want to sell really quickly.
    Cheers.

    Vernon.

Based on Carbatec prices there is $2300 of gear, not including the extra top or router table. Surprising Carbatec isn't the most expensive.

I think it is probably worth/fits the 75% bracket but I'd probably accept less to move it along, as I don't have the space for it.

    DSEL74,

I tried to sell mine on this forum earlier in the year.......Triton Station

    I didn't get a bite at $600

After placing it on Gumtree, I sold it within a week for $800 and that included the Triton Saw.

I don't know if the 75% of Retail will cut it in the market.....excuse the pun...that puts it value 2nd hand at @ $1700 , a price at which you can buy a good quality new Table Saw with cast iron table and 12 months waranty.

    Hope this helps
