The position of the winding handle when viewed from the front of any fence should be between 4 and 5 o'clock, so the router orientation relative to the table becomes important. This would not be so relevant if height adjustments, etc. were carried out below the table. When using the Triton router table, the router affixes via two keyhole slots and with the router and insert plate out of the table it's very easy to get the orientation wrong (see picture below).

This info applies to the Triton Router Table RTA300 and is still relevant for that model. Router tables produced later, of a different style and design, may have different features, but the above holds good for the relevant model.
