I must be lucky when I hear what you guys have to do to buy new tools.
If it is a minor tool that I think I need, like a sander, router or saw, I source the best deal and buy it.
However if it is a major purchase I discuss it with the LOML and suggest that it could be an early father's day or birthday/xmas day present.
Why is it that I consider most tools to be minor.
Peter.

hehehe
I'm on the lookout for a 'minor' Planer/Thicknesser at the moment. I reckon when I get to the stage that she can't back her car in there any more she will work it out. Until then, I'm laughing. (all the way to Bunnings )

You're gonna regret letting me out of the corner, coz now I'm going to send you there for that last comment "all the way to Bunnings".
Don't support the monopolists.
Buy from local small guys.
Or direct from Triton.
I'm off to my local woodies meeting. Very excited, we have the bloke from Triton doing a demo tonight. He's trying to convince us to join(become) the Triton WW club up here. Some mention of giving us one of every triton product if we join. Sounds too bloody good to be true.
I'll join by myself for those sort of incentives.
Will keep you posted
cheers
