Masters loaded up with Triton gear - some old style, some clearly GMC and some totally new.

Masters have had #909 tools available for a long time. These are the same as the original GMC that Bunnings sold and discontinued.

Yes Masters are stocking triton gear.
Tho I don't think it's going to be the quality of what it use to be in the good old triton days.

Have to agree about the saw also, very 'un triton' quality, looked at one at the new Masters at Marsden Park.

I was at Masters at Bundamba (Ipswich, Qld) on Sunday 28 June, and they had a heap of Triton tools on display. After seeing this post, I checked on the Masters Bundamba web site and couldn't see any Triton tools.
I was initially quite interested when I saw a Triton 10 inch Sliding Compound Mitre Saw for a bit over $300.00 (can't remember the exact price). Had a closer look and lost interest very quickly. There was lots of pressed steel in the base and in the mitre assembly, and the sliding mechanism seemed very flimsy. A little pressure sideways on the saw handle resulted sideways movement of the blade. To be fair, the machine may have been poorly assembled for display by the staff at Masters, but that only explains the lack of rigidity, and not the extensive use of pressed metal rather than castings in the construction.
There was also a TRA-001 Router on display at about $100 less than normal retail price, but on close examination, there was no above table adjustment, and there were lots of other minor differences when compared to my TRA-001 that I bought new 18 months ago. Potentially old stock, or they've started importing the lower quality Triton branded stuff that is normally sold in China and the rest of the Asian market.
