Default Maxi Extension Table – Height Adjustment?

Hello all. I have a WC2000 and am considering purchasing the maxi sliding extension table. I have read in the specifications that the outrigger legs are height adjustable, but I was wondering just how adjustable they were?

The reason I’m asking is because I have had to make up some adjustable feet to attach to my WC as one of the legs when extended sits about 20mm past the line of the other leg at that end of the WC. This causes the frame to twist, and therefore the tabletop not to sit properly. My adjustable feet allow me to adjust the frame to dead level, but my WC now sits about an extra 15-20mm off the ground, so I was wondering if the in-built adjustment in the outrigger would compensate for this?

    Thanks heaps,
    Gibbo.

I have the MK3 and with the maxi extension table attached I still have a full 50mm in height available for adjustment.

Take a look at the way you have assembled the legs on the T2000, there is something wrong there, or you have a really uneven floor.

That said, all the sliding tables have a fair bit of adjustment - there is about 12mm at the table fittings, and say 150mm at the outboard end - If you have a REALLY hilly site, then you could make your own legs from square tube - the outboard rail slips over the leg upright and tightens with a screw knob - you would just need to drill a hole & put some caps on, then attach the original stabilizer leg.

I did set up my sliding table on a really weirdly uneven site once - a friends driveway - and had the legs all over the place - it still worked - I just used a long level to check everything.

Thanks very much for the info - I might pick one up this weekend then.

I had the same thoughts about the assembly and my garage floor. So I took it inside and assembled it in the kitchen (much to my wife's delight) after checking that the floor was level. I tried swapping the legs around, adjusting tensions on the bolts. That one leg position always seemed to fold out just a bit further than the other three, no matter what I did. It's got me stumped. So I resorted to the adjustable feet which seems to have fixed the problem.

    Cheers.

If it's for cross cutting, why not build yourself a crosscut table before you make the purchase. I did, and now my extension table is attached to the router table (mini, not maxi) . I don't really need it on the WC200 anymore.
