Default What is your maximum depth of cut?

As the title suggests, what is your maximum depth of cut in a triton WC 2000? I have seen references to 62mm on the forum but I have tweaked mine to give me 57mm absolute max. I have the height winder and a Makita 235mm saw mounted in mine. I am re-sawing 150mm brushbox at the moment and would love to get 60mm out of it and make the bandsaw work a bit easier, 30mm is easier to work with than the 37mm at the moment, especially with this stuff.

It's only a mistake if you don't learn from it.

63mm with the Triton saw and height winder. The different brand might be loosing a little - be a bit surprised if that's so. Make sure the saw itself is set to maximum depth. I've made that mistake before - just a possibility.

    Stuart,
I think it might be the saw, I have a Makita 5900B mounted at the moment and I have even filed a bit out of the depth guide to push it a bit deeper. Until I played with it yesterday I was getting 49mm so I got a bit more but would still love the 63mm that you are capable of. Might have to work towards the Triton saw down the track. A lathe is higher on my priority list at the moment though.
