It proberly is do able but why
Use an angle grinder and metal cutting blade & if it has to be straight use a wooden straight edge, quicker and cheeper

I agree. No way c/iron would be going over my Triton.

I cut 4mm aluminium on mine the other day with an old TCT blade that wasn't being used for anything else. Worked like a bought one.

However! The metal cutting blade is designed to work at much slower speeds than a typical circular saw.

Also, the difference between cutting with a grinder (or cutoff saw) and using a TCT blade (I think the metal cutting blade is TCT- with different shaped teeth, and more of the base metal backing the teeth up) is - the grinder melts a cut, the TCT chips a cut.

To accurately cut corrigated iron, there is only one method that I'd use by preference, which is oxy-acetylene with a cutting head. Fun and accurate. (After a couple of beers).

    Default Metal cutting

I have bought Makita ferrous metal cutting blade on recommendation of my boilermaker son who uses one in a cheap 7.25" saw to cut miniorb etc. He says it is the best way he has found. The Makita cold cut saw uses this blade at exactly same speed as 7.25" saws! I also bought cheap saw ($38.00) to use rather than using one of my good ones, will post a report on my results when I get around to the job I bought it for.

    Exclamation maybe, maybe not

well i recently bought the jigsaw kit, and a gmc 920 watt jigsaw, which incidentally fits into the table insert like it was made for it. the jigsaw is rated to cut 85 mm of wood and an incredible 8 mm of steel. mind you, if i wanted to cut corrugated iron on the triton, it would be with the jigsaw and jigsaw kit and i would protect the table with a sheet of 3mm mdf before i started. i would not use the saw or router as they are too expensive to replace, but i picked up this jigsaw cheap as i notified in another topic.
