    Unhappy Minolta and Triton

    What the hell is it with my hobbies, that both the major suppliers of equipment I use have been sold recently:confused:. (Triton to GMC, Minolta to Sony)

    Next thing you know, Ford will be buying Holden out, and Toyota will buy Ferrari (and I already know Schumacher is retiring soon).

    After that, what next- Australia becomes another state of America?:mad:

    Despite its proximity, Canada seems to be less American than Australia is.

    Mabey as shareholders we should start indicating who our preferred takeover should come from.

    Why not Ford have already brought Jaguar, so now I am driving an expensive falcon.

    I suppose in hindsight we should have treated the merger between
    Konica and Minolta with a little more caution, very few of us
    analyzed the financial purpose behind the merger or perhaps the
    eventual outcome. This played out on Thursday last week when
    Konica Minolta announced the end of cameras produced with the
    Konica Minolta name, and hence the end of the Minolta brand. The
    flipside (although I'm sure there won't be many KM employees
    looking at that right now) must be the sale of their camera
    business to Sony who have spoken this week about the production of
    a Sony branded SLR this year with a Konica Minolta lens mount. One
    thing is clear, the digital photography market of today is a much
    tougher place than the film photography market of yesterday.

    Don't thinks so from what I heard today Ford is culling their American plants by 25%. Apparently American's prefer to buy quality rather than the American product?
